IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened the first UK property under its Vignette Collection brand.

The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool is located on Duke Street in the city’s Ropewalks district, and is owned by Molo Hotel Group, which is also developing The Reach at Piccadilly, Manchester under Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio brand.

Features include 133 rooms, a rooftop fitness centre, two meeting rooms, The Halyard Bar, and Voyagers Restaurant & Bar.

The hotel joins IHG’s existing Liverpool properties including Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre, Hotel Indigo Liverpool, Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre, Holiday Inn Express Liverpool Royal Albert Dock, Staybridge Suites Liverpool, and Crowne Plaza Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The group launched the luxury lifestyle Vignette brand in 2021, with Hotel X in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley the first to join the brand, followed by properties in Portugal and Thailand.

The group has a target of reaching 100 Vignette properties worldwide over the next ten years, with forthcoming locations including Shanghai and Reit im Winkl on the German/Austrian border in southeastern Bavaria.
