Melia Hotels International will open Innside Liverpool on August 16, marking the group’s third property under its lifestyle Innside brand in the UK.
The hotel was initially slated to open in 2019, but was pushed back to this summer. Innside Liverpool will be located on Old Hall Street in the city’s commercial district, occupying the site of the former Echo and Daily Post building. The site has undergone a three-year redevelopment, with the group preserving parts of the pre-existing structure.
The 207-room hotel will feature an open-plan lobby, a restaurant, a 24-hour gym, and a 360-degree Sky Bar on the 18th floor with views over Liverpool and the River Mersey. Rooms will feature high-speed wifi and Chromecasts, while the 27 suites will also include mini-fridges.
There will be seven flexible meeting rooms, with spaces such as The Printing Press and The Post Room paying homage to the building’s history. Additionally, there will be a dedicated events floor with capacity for over 340 people, and a separate catering breakout area. Meeting facilities will feature floor to ceiling windows, natural air flow and integrated AV equipment.

The hotel will be offering a 30 per cent discount off best available rates for a limited time only as part of the launch, with rooms available from £59 per night.
Innside by Melia has hotels in 28 locations across ten countries, with an additional 14 properties in the pipeline including the opening of a property in Newcastle in May.
