Intercontinental Hotels Group has opened its second property under the growing Voco brand in France.
Voco Strasbourg Centre – The Garden is located around a ten-minute walk from the city’s central station, and “a short electric bus ride away” from the European Parliament.
Facilities include 120 rooms, many of which have their own terraces, as well as a gym, indoor pool and spa.
All day dining restaurant The Garden features an outdoor terrace and lawn, and this theme is carried through to the interiors of the hotel, with the use tropical plants, living walls and natural materials for furnishings.
The Strasbourg property joins the recently opened Voco Paris Montparnasse, located on the Left bank of the River Seine, around five minutes’ walk from Montparnasse rail station.
The Voco brand launched in 2018, and of the dozen or so properties open worldwide so far, five of these are in the UK in locations including Oxford, Reading, Cardiff and Solihull. The brand’s first Scottish hotel is also set to open in Edinburgh in 2021.
Last year Voco opened its first Austrian property, and also announced the rollout of the brand into the US and China.
Commenting on the opening Will Yell, Head of Voco EMEAA, IHG Hotels and Resorts, said:
“Voco Strasbourg Centre – The Garden is a perfect example of what the brand stands for. We pride ourselves on being reliably different and celebrate each hotel’s individual spirit and character, whether it’s a newly built property or a well-known building with its own history.
“The brand has seen extraordinary growth since launching only two and a half years ago. There are already 15 hotels open globally and a further 23 due to open in the next three to five years. Our second hotel in France, Voco Strasbourg Centre – The Garden is an excellent addition to our growing portfolio.”
