Luxury hoteliers Rosewood plan to open a Taipei property in 2024.

Managed under the Rosewood Hotels and Resorts brand, the hotel will feature 191 rooms and 27 suites.

Amenities will include five restaurants and bars, meeting and function facilities, an indoor pool, fitness centre and a Sense Spa.

It will be located in the Taiwanese capital’s Xinyi District, home of the Taipei 101 tower, Taipei International Convention Centre and Taipei World Trade Centre, as well as the Si Si Nan Cun cultural heritage village and Elephant Mountain, popular for inner-city walking trails.

Rosewood has a raft of Asian openings planned, including Rosewood Shenzhen (opening 2022), Rosewood Hermana Mayor (2023) and Rosewood Shanghai (2024).

The brand will make its Hong Kong debut on March 17, 2019.

In Europe, forthcoming properties include Rosewood VeniceMunich, and London Mayfair.

On its website, owner Rosewood Hotel Group says it is pursuing an “aggressive expansion strategy” across its four brands, with nearly 40 new hotels currently under development.

“Taipei, with its distinct charm, combines the beauty of Chinese culture with a fusion of foreign influences, to create the perfect destination to bring to life Rosewood’s signature A Sense of Place philosophy,” said Rosewood Hotel Group CEO Sonia Cheng.

“The hotel’s location is perfect for both business and leisure travellers, in the heart of the city’s financial centre with the neighbourhood alive with the youthful energy of Taipei.”
