Lounge operator No1 has opened a new facility in Gatwick’s South Terminal, with free access for Norwegian Premium passengers.
No1 Lounges said the space is “loft-inspired”, combining contemporary design with a laid-back homely feel.
It features a snack menu, self-serve bar and cocktail station, games room and the airport’s only outdoor terrace.
As part of a partnership with Norwegian, the airline’s Premium passengers and short-haul economy Passengers transferring onto Premium will get free access, while other Norwegian passengers benefit from discounted access on the door for £24.
Norwegian Rewards members can also purchase and claim points.
My Lounge is No1’s brand targeting the premium economy and leisure markets. It also operates business class No1 Lounges and premium Clubrooms, the latest of which opened at Birmingham airport last month.
The brand operates five lounges across Heathrow, Edinburgh and Birmingham, and now has three in each terminal at Gatwick.
Access can be booked on the No1 website and costs £24 for adults and £12 for children. Adult price on the door is £30.
Phil Cameron, founder and CEO of No1 Lounges, said:
“We are so excited to be opening My Lounge at Gatwick Airport and to be able to offer its uniquely relaxed, social lounging in both terminals.
“We are also delighted to be partnering with Norwegian, who have chosen it as their Premium lounge at Gatwick.
“Our existing lounges have proven to be extremely popular with business and leisure travellers alike, so this new opening ensures we can offer the greatest choice of experiences, from informal to first-class lounging, and meet the ever-increasing demand.”
Gatwick COO Guy Stephenson said:
“The launch of No1’s My Lounge in Gatwick’s South Terminal is great news for the 46 million passengers who travel through Gatwick every year.
“This lounge offers a comfortable and affordable pre-flight experience, and the outdoor seating terrace – the first of its kind at Gatwick – is a particularly welcome addition. We’re pleased to be working with No1 to further expand its fantastic range of airport lounges at Gatwick.”
