Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is set to open its second London property.
Located in Mayfair’s Grosvenor Square, the hotel will be housed in the building that currently serves as the US Embassy with 137 rooms and suites, five restaurants, six retail spaces, a ballroom that can hold 1,000 people and the luxury hotel brand’s signature spa.

An opening date has not yet been confirmed, but construction is set to start later this year, with British architect Sir David Chipperfield overseeing the hotel’s interior design.
Chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, Sonia Cheng, said: “We are thrilled to embark on this exciting new venture, which will bring new life to this iconic building. The prestigious Mayfair neighbourhood embodies elegance, culture, and sophistication, making it the ideal location for Rosewood’s second property in London.”
“As one of Europe’s most coveted travel destinations, London strikes a special balance between the historical charms of the past and the contemporary comforts of the present, catering to a multitude of experiences that often cannot be found in one place. We look forward to providing guests with a property that is equally as captivating, and that will serve as a backdrop for the rich and authentic adventures that the city affords.”
This summer, the group relaunched the Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, in Paris after a four-year renovation.
