Accor has announced plans for the latest property under its midscale lifestyle TRIBE brand, and the first in Poland.

The new-build TRIBE Kraków Stare Miasto is scheduled to open next year close to Kraków Glówny railway station, the Galeria Krakowska shopping centre and Planty park.

Features will include a restaurant, bar, fitness centre and wellness area, with design elements including dark colours, velvet curtains and chevron flooring, “inspired by David Lynch’s artistic vision”.

Communal areas will also feature film posters by Polish artists, and “elements inspired by William Eggleston and Edward Hopper”.

Accor acquired Australian hotel group Mantra in 2018, and with it a sole existing hotel in Perth under the TRIBE name. The group subsequently announced plans to roll out the brand as a four-star midscale offering.

Recent openings include TRIBE Phnom Penh Post Office Square and TRIBE London Canary Wharf, and a 167-room property is currently under development at Budapest Airport.

“We are confident that this outstanding property will win the hearts of travellers seeking to experience the city from one of its most exciting locations.”
