Accor has opened the first UK property and eighth worldwide under its midscale lifestyle brand Tribe.
Tribe London Canary Wharf is located on Water Street, around five minutes’ walk from Canary Wharf Underground station.
The six-floor development features 320 rooms across three categories – 14sqm Tribe Comfort rooms with city views, 14sqm Tribe Comfort Atrium rooms overlooking the hotel’s atrium, and 21sqm Tribe Comfort XL corner rooms overlooking Wood Wharf.
Facilities include all day dining restaurant Feels Like June for “Europe-meets-West Coast” cuisine such as breakfast burritos and mezze platters, as well as a bar and 24-hour Grab and Go counter for barista coffee and ready-to-eat meals.

The Tribe brand was launched in 2019, with Accor stating at the time that it would offer a “high-quality hotel experience at an affordable price,” with a “carefully curated offer that focuses on style rather than price.”
It now falls under the Ennismore lifestyle division, with which Accor formed a joint venture in 2021.
Recent openings include Tribe Paris La Défense, and Tribe Amsterdam City, located within the ‘Gare du Nord’ project in Amsterdam-North.
The brand is targeting 50 properties “within the next few years”, with planned destinations including Budapest, Belo Horizonte, Warsaw, Riga, Lyon, Bangkok, Singapore, Milan, Birmingham, Liverpool and Chester.
A 412-room Manchester hotel is also under development with the Airport City Manchester development.
Commenting on the news Francois Leclerc, deputy brand COO for Tribe, said:
“We are excited to finally bring the bold energy of the Tribe experience to the UK, following the brand’s global success. Our vision for an intelligent, functional, design-driven hotel is a perfect fit for the dynamic Canary Wharf destination in London.”
