Radisson Hotel Group has opened the first Polish property under its lifestyle Radisson Red brand.

Radisson Red Gdansk is housed within a reconstructed port warehouse on the Motlawa River, and forms part of the redevelopment of the city’s Granary Island.

The hotel features 30 rooms and suites, some of which have a mezzanine level with extra bed, as well as Whiskey in the Jar steakhouse and a lobby grab and go station.

Guests at Radisson Red Gdansk also benefit from access to amenities at the group’s Radisson Hotel and Suites Gdansk (located around 200 metres away), including the property’s fitness and wellness facilities.

Radisson Red Gdansk also joins the Radisson Blu Gdansk, and a further Radisson Blu hotel located to the north of Gdansk in the seaside resort of Sopot.

The Radisson Red brand launched in Brussels in 2016, and currently has four UK properties in Glasgow and London’s Greenwich, as well as a property close to Gatwick airport and another which forms part of a dual-branded development as Heathrow.

A fifth UK hotel is set to open in Liverpool later this year within a 19th-century building next to the city’s Lime Street rail station, which formerly housed the North Western Hotel.

Commenting on the news Maciej Głownia, general manager, Radisson Red Gdansk, said:

“This new property is a unique place, full of energy, design, and style. We look forward to welcoming guests and introducing them to Granary Island’s rich, interesting history and the vibrant atmosphere of Radisson Red’s fashionable urban life.”
