Radisson has debuted its lifestyle Radisson Red brand in southeast London, joining its UK properties in Glasgow and at Heathrow airport.

Radisson Red London Greenwich The O2 is located near the Royal Museums Greenwich – home to the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, and the Royal Observatory – and less than a mile from the O2 Arena.

The hotel is also located close to central London, with public transport links via the North Greenwich underground station, and is five miles from London City airport – guests can use the on-site car park if they are using a car.

The hotel comprises 70 rooms with rain showers, photo art, large beds, plenty of charging points and large desk areas.

The all-day restaurant serves a selection of pizzas and burgers, salads, sharing platters, nachos, chicken wings and sweet potato fries. Guests can also dine in the lounge area, where there are a mixture of low tables and big tables for groups, a stage and a pool table.

This will be joined by the glass-clad rooftop bar Nine in the autumn, which will offer views across Greenwich, Canary Wharf and The O2.

There is also a grab and go area on the ground level, which offers ham and cheese croissants, vegan options, sandwiches, salads and drinks.

“We’re thrilled to expand our bold, playful, and eclectic Radisson RED brand in London, and strengthen our position as the leading international hotel group in the region. Radisson RED London Greenwich The O2’s location is ideal for visitors looking to explore either maritime Greenwich or the many other attractions across London, while enjoying Radisson RED’s unique twist on hospitality.”

Vivek Chadha, managing director of Nine Group and owner of the Radisson RED London Greenwich The O2, added:

“We’re delighted to celebrate the opening of the striking Radisson RED in Greenwich. As we look to the much anticipated return of live music, concerts, sport and entertainment, the Radisson RED London Greenwich The O2 is perfectly situated to provide visitors with a safe and inspiring environment bought together with seamless technology.”

The Radisson Red brand launched in Brussels in 2016, with subsequent locations including Aarhus, Cape Town and Minneapolis. The brand is set to open properties in Newcastle and Cologne in 2023, and later this year at Gatwick airport.
