Hyatt has opened its first dual-branded property in mainland Europe, with the unveiling of the Hyatt Place Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Hyatt House Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The opening also marks the debut of Hyatt’s select service brands in France.

The two hotels are located within the Paris Nord 2 International Business Park, around 5km from the airport, and share facilities including an indoor pool, fitness centre, 450 sqm of meeting and events space, and F&B outlets including Zoom restaurant, bar and lounge.

Both properties are being managed by Cycas Hospitality, which has a further three French hotels in development in Paris and Rouen, across Hyatt and Marriott brands.

Hyatt Place Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport offers 309 rooms “with separate spaces to sleep, work and play”, while the extended stay Hyatt House Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport has 121 “apartment style kitchen suites”, all with fully fitted kitchens.

The dual-opening brings Hyatt’s portfolio in France to 12 properties, including last year’s opening of a Hyatt Regency in the historic town of Chantilly, around 20 minutes from Paris CDG.

Hyatt has been gradually expanding its select service brands in Europe, with recent additions including the Hyatt House Manchester Oxford Road (itself part of a dual-branded property with the Hyatt Regency Manchester Oxford Road).

A Hyatt Place hotel is also set to open next to Gatwick airport, joining two existing UK properties under the brand – a 350-room hotel on the Bath Road close to Heathrow airport, and a 170-room property in Hayes, around 20 minutes from Heathrow.

Commenting on the news Luc Vicherd, Cycas Hospitality’s regional general manager for France, said:

“We are proud to be opening our doors today to the first dual-branded Hyatt project in Europe and to see Hyatt’s select service brands expanding in France. This is a prime location and we are confident that by combining these two fast-growing brands under one roof we will be best suited to service the needs of both corporate and leisure travellers.

“Now more than ever, guests appreciate the benefits of spacious rooms and separate places to sleep, work and relax. From the Cozy Corner sofa-sleepers offered in our Hyatt Place guestrooms, to Hyatt House apartment-style suites with fully equipped kitchens, having two sophisticated brands ensures our guests can choose the space that best fits their needs, whilst taking full advantage of both hotels’ wider facilities.”
