Budget chain Easyhotel has announced plans for a second Paris property, in the north-eastern suburb of Aubervilliers.

The 180-room hotel will be located close to the Portes de Paris business park, in an urban area “surrounded by offices, shops and residences”.

The property is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2022, and will be situated opposite the Front Populaire metro station and close to the student area of Campus Condorcet.

It will be Easyhotel’s third property in France, joining a Nice hotel (formerly the Ibis Palais des Congres), and a 209-room property near Paris CDG which is currently under development.

Easyhotel currently has 13 owned and 27 franchised properties across the UK, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UAE.

Last year the group reopened its flagship hotel on London’s Old Street following refurbishment.

Commenting on the Aubervilliers property François Bacchetta, CEO of Easyhotel, said:

“This is an exciting development which demonstrates Easyhotel’s commitment to growing in France and wider Europe. This will be our third hotel in the country, following the opening of our Nice hotel last year and the news that we are developing a site near Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

“The hotel we have signed in Aubervilliers near Paris is a fantastic, lively location, attracting tourists, students and business people and we look forward to welcoming guests when it opens.”
