Thai hospitality group Dusit International has signed an agreement to operate a 207-room hotel in Hanoi’s Tay Ho District, set to open in 2023.

The hotel group said Dusit Tu Hoa Palace, Hanoi will be 30 minutes by car from Noi Bai International Airport. Hanoi’s Old Quarter, the city’s business hub and a popular tourist destination, can be reached in 15 minutes from the new property.

Hotel facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar, meeting rooms, and a swimming pool. Dusit said many of the guest rooms will offer views of the West Lake and its surroundings. The hotel will also feature a blend of Thai and Vietnamese design elements.

Dusit International signed the long-term agreement with Vietnamese real estate developers General Technology Joint Stock Company to develop and operate Dusit Tu Hoa Palace, Hanoi.

“As a destination, Hanoi keeps going from strength to strength,” said Lim Boon Kwee, chief operating officer at Dusit International.

“Last year the city welcomed more than 6 million foreign visitors in the first 11 months – up 12 per cent year-on-year. The country’s strong GDP growth rate is also driving a rapidly growing segment of high-spending domestic tourists.

“With this in mind, now is the perfect time to expand our operations in Vietnam’s capital city and strengthen our brand for further growth in Vietnam.”

Dusit International’s portfolio comprises 307 properties operating under six brands across 15 countries.

Last year, the Thai hotel brand announced plans to open DusitD2 Samyan Bangkok, the first DusitD2 branded property in Bangkok, in June 2023.
