Dublin will welcome a new luxury hotel early next year, with the forthcoming opening of The Leinster.
Located on the corner of Merrion Square (also home to the city’s Natural History Museum and National Gallery) the hotel is schedule to open in January.
Features will include 55 rooms and suites, as well as a rooftop restaurant by French Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, The Collins Club bar and supper club, and The O’Dwyer Suite event space.
Interiors have been created by ODonnell O’Neill Design, with over 300 pieces of original painted art brought together by a botanical theme. More than 80 established and up-and-coming artists are featured, including Melissa O’Donnell, Colette Riet, Domino Whisker, Stephen Dunne and Damien Hirst.
The hotel has been developed by Press Up Hospitality Group, which also includes The Dean hotel brand in its portfolio. Last year we reported that Birmingham’s Grade II listed Central Methodist Hall is set to be converted into The Dean Birmingham.

Commenting on his first restaurant in Ireland, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, said:
