Hilton has announced plans to expand in Turkey with more than 1,600 rooms under five of its brands.

The group’s 11 new hotels will open under its Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton brands.

The group already has more than 100 hotels trading and under development in Turkey and is one of the company’s largest operating markets globally.

Among the new openings will be Hilton Istanbul Airport, due to open in iGA Istanbul Airport in summer 2025. The hotel will open directly across from the airport terminal and feature 491 guest rooms and suites, an onsite restaurant, lobby bar and cafe on the terrace. Additionally, the hotel will have an indoor pool, spa and fitness facilities, along with an executive lounge and 770 sqm of meeting room space.

Ahead of this opening will be Les Temps Istanbul Karakoy, Curio Collection by Hilton, which is expected to open in early 2025 in a historic building across from the Camondo stairs in the Galata quarter – now known as Karakoy.

The hotel will include 93 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant and lobby bar, a rooftop bar overlooking the old town of Istanbul, and a fitness centre.

Next summer will see the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Suites Istanbul Altunizade, located less than one kilometre from the First Bridge which connects the European and Asian sides of the city. The hotel will boast 240 rooms, made up of studios and one-bedroom suites, as well as an all-day dining restaurant and lobby bar.

Leisure facilities will include an indoor pool, a 95 sqm aerobic studio, spa and fitness facilities, while on the business side there will be more than 430 sqm of meetings and events space.

This announcement joins recently signed 99-room DoubleTree by Hilton Trabzon Yomra Suites, due to open in summer 2024, and 145-room DoubleTree by Hilton Bursa Nilufer, anticipated to open in 2026.

Ritus Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will mark the brand’s debut in spring 2025. Two smaller adjacent hotels across from Sultanahmet Square will be combined into this larger hotel, retaining the facade and ornate window designs while introducing brighter interiors.

The hotel will feature 51 guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant and lobby bar, and a fitness centre.

Finally, the Hampton by Hilton brand will open five new properties in Turkey before the end of 2026. These will be located in Adana, Istanbul, Sisli as well as at Antalya and Ankara airports.
