The long-awaited The Lana from the Dorchester Collection will debut in Dubai on 1 February, 2024.
This will mark the Dorchester Collection’s first hotel to open in the Middle East, and tenth property worldwide.
The hotel is located in Downtown Dubai within a 30-storey building designed by Foster + Partners, and features interiors by Parisian duo Gilles & Boissier. The property will include 225 guest rooms and suites, a spa and eight restaurant concepts as well as The Lana Residences.
Dorchester Collection also revealed news on the hotel’s culinary partnerships, with four new concepts set to be unveiled early next year.
Jara by Martín Berasategui on the 18th floor will be developed by the namesake Martín Berasategui, a highly acclaimed chef whose restaurants have received 12 Michelin stars over the years. Named after Martin’s granddaughter, the restaurant will serve Basque cuisine as well as pintxos and cocktails at Jara Bar on the same floor.
Riviera by Jean Imbert on the fourth floor, meanwhile, will offer modern Mediterranean cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can also enjoy cocktails, wines, vermouths and aperitifs as well as “creative bites” at Riviera Bar.
Rooftop venue High Society, also developed by Jean Imbert, will serve hotel guests at the pool during the day and transform into a vibrant lounge for both hotel and non-staying guests from 5pm. The menu will feature “the largest selection of Champagnes in the UAE” along with wines and spirits.
Finally, the Parisian-inspired Bonbon Café Angelo Musa will be a new pâtisserie concept serving viennoiseries, freshly baked bread, a range of chocolate bonbons and ice cream, as well as sandwiches, salads, and a range of bespoke cakes. Musa has led the pastry kitchen at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée for more than eight years.
The four concepts are in addition to the previously announced outlets including The Gallery, Veranda, and Bitter Honey on the second floor of the hotel, as well as Txakolina, a speakeasy on the 18th floor, all led by executive chef Oliver Jackson.
Bookings are already open with rates starting from £735 per night / room only (including taxes).
Dorchester Collection currently comprises nine hotels in London, Paris, Milan, Rome,
and Los Angeles, with plans to enter Asia in 2028 with a property in Tokyo.
