Hospitality company OYO has announced plans to expand its Managed by OYO programme in the UK.

The group added its first UK properties in 2018, and currently counts more than 160 properties in over 65 cities in its UK portfolio, but the vast majority of these are operated under franchise agreements.

OYO runs five hotels in London, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Cardiff and Bristol under a pilot Managed by OYO programme, and now wants to expand this to add 20 managed hotels in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

The group said that its team of professionals are available to “handle all operational aspects, including guest bookings, housekeeping, maintenance, and more”, with terms ranging from three to 15 years and no minimum entry criteria in terms of number of rooms or category of rooms.

Current managed properties include OYO Finchley Hotel in London, OYO Metropolitan in Sheffield, OYO Brentwood in Aberdeen and OYO Regency Hotel in Bristol.

OYO said it had also recently launched a virtual front desk solution for its partner hotels in the UK.

Earlier this year the group announced plans to add more than 50 properties to its UK portfolio during 2023, with focus destinations including Leeds, Brighton and Plymouth.
