TAP Air Portugal has launched a new range of 80s and 90s-inspired sportswear and accessories dubbed ‘Air-pparel’.
Clothing options include sports hoodies, t-shirts and “lightweight athletic shorts”, while accessories include a vintage travel bag, TAP-branded baseball caps, and even a smart watch.
Items can be purchased from store.flytap.com and range from €15.90 for a t-shirt, up to €99.90 for the sports bag and €179.99 for the smart watch.
The carrier’s advertising campaign for the new range is being fronted by Filipa and Joao, two TAP Air Portugal flight attendants who are also high-performance athletes, with the airline stating that it is “a strong advocate for staying active, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle”.
TAP is not the first carrier to launch its own clothing line – in 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic Qantas launched a limited-edition athleisure-wear collection created by Australian fashion designer Martin Grant.
