Accor has added two hotels to its Sydney portfolio, following an agreement with hospitality entrepreneur Sachin Sabharwal.
Two existing properties have been rebranded as the BreakFree on Broadway Sydney and Mantra Castle Hill – Accor has operated the Mantra and BreakFree brands since it purchased the Australia and New Zealand focused Mantra Group in 2018.
BreakFree on Broadway Sydney is located close to The University of Sydney and features 47 refurbished rooms, as well as a cafe, reading area and boardroom for up to ten delegates.
Meanwhile the Mantra Castle Hill is situated in the northwest outskirts of the city close to the Norwest Business Park, and features 82 rooms, a fitness centre and a BBQ deck.
Other recent Accor additions in Australia’s largest city include the refurbished and rebranded Manly Pacific Sydney MGallery, and the Porter House Hotel MGallery – housed within an 1870s building on Castlereagh Street.
Hotel Morris on Pitt Street was also unveiled as one of the first properties under Accor’s new Handwritten Collection earlier this year.
Commenting on the news Accor Pacific CEO, Sarah Derry, said:
“We are delighted to collaborate with Sachin Sabharwal and unveil two new hotels in Sydney. These properties bring new opportunities for our communities and guests.
“Sachin Sabharwal shares our passion for hospitality and our partnership will realise strong commercial benefits for the hotels through Accor’s powerful distribution engine and award-winning lifestyle loyalty programme, ALL – Accor Live Limitless, along with significant extended benefits created by Accor’s major strategic partnerships with Accor Stadium, Qudos Bank Arena, and Qantas Frequent Flyers.”
