InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of its 30th Holiday Inn property in Germany. The hotel is operated by GHOTEL hotel and living, a subsidiary of AURELIUS Equity Opportunities SE  Co. KGaA.

Located in the city centre of Osnabruck, Holiday Inn Osnabruck is 33km away from Münster Osnabrück International Airport and is also close to the city’s main station.

The 158-key hotel features IHG’s signature open lobby concept, three event spaces, and a spa.

Germany is one of the key markets for IHG globally and the Holiday Inn brand, in particular, is a vital instrument for the brand’s growth in the region.

Commenting on this, Mario Maxeiner, managing director, Northern Europe said, “Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are strong midscale brands which not only drive our company growth here in Germany but all over Europe. We continuously develop these two brands to make them even more attractive for guests and owners, a reason why they are so successful. ”

Meanwhile, IHG is also gearing up to bring Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants to Germany with the launch of Kimpton Frankfurt in 2023.
