Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced plans for Kimpton Frankfurt, introducing the Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants brand to Germany. It is a part of Frankfurt’s development project FOUR Frankfurt led by real estate developer Groß and Partner.

The 155-room Kimpton Frankfurt will be housed within a listed building on Junghofstrasse in Frankfurt’s city centre. It will feature a signature restaurant, a terrace rooftop restaurant and a skybar. Additionally, it will also include a fitness centre and two large meeting rooms.

Kenneth Macpherson, CEO of Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA) at IHG said:

“Being one of Europe’s largest financial hubs, Frankfurt is a key location for us and this signing is a great milestone in Kimpton’s European expansion.

“We’re proud to partner with Groß AND Partner to bring the brand to Germany, where IHG is growing at pace. Guests staying at Kimpton Frankfurt can expect Kimpton’s signature bold and playful design, luxury, personalised service and truly local feel.”

This luxury boutique hotel is expected to open in 2023. Earlier this year IHG announced plans to add 13 UK properties across its Intercontinental, Kimpton and the newly-launch Voco brands, in a deal to reflag existing and forthcoming hotels under the Principal and De Vere brands.
