Upon the successful completion of a comprehensive feasibility study by Stirling Hospitality Advidors, one of the leading boutique advisory firms in the region, the Tourism Development Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has approved a new project involving an upscale wellness hotel by Kerten Hospitality in the kingdom.

Called The Wellness Hotel Abha by Cloud7, the new project will be a 100-key property in Abha, the capital city of Saudi Arabia’s Aseer province famed for its national park with its majestic mountains, dense forests, and avian life, with a nearby village housing a mud-walled historical museum, stone houses, and crafts markets.

Kerten Hospitality to launch new urban eco resort in Riyadh

The assessment to assess the project’s feasibility involved extensive market research and analysis, as well as ground visits to the area that included interviews with the owners of branded and unbranded hotels in both Abha and Khamis Mushair, a nearby town in Aseer Province. Tatiana Veller, managing director of Stirling Hospitality Advisors, said: “We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our feasibility study for The Wellness Hotel Abha by Cloud7. Our team dedicated extensive efforts to analyse various factors, including conducting destination research and modelling financial projections, to provide a thorough evaluation and vision of the hotel concept comprising details and size of units, list of infrastructure, area programme and more. As a result of our comprehensive study, the project was successfully accepted by the Tourism Development Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We look forward to the opening of this remarkable project and are excited to see the hotel’s vision come to life.”

The property – which will be operated by Kerten Hospitality – is set to launch in 2025, and will be a wellness-focused retreat that aims to help guests unwind, disconnect, and achieve an optimal state of health and wellbeing while reconnecting with nature. Set to be the “ultimate retreat destination for wellness, detox, and regeneration in the heart of Abha,” guests can expect stunning mountain landscape views, as well as organic food options, multiple pools, a gym and spa, and a fully equipped wellness centre, as well as supportive practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy sessions, stress alleviation, and relaxation services, and more.
