His Highness Prince Saud bin Talal, Governor of Al-Ahsa and Abdulrahman Abaalkhail, CEO of Dan Company, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company specialising in agritourism, ecotourism, and adventure tourism met earlier this week to discuss the company’s plans to create a premium farm-based tourism destination in the heart of the Al-Ahsa Governate, a significant agricultural region in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and UNESCO World Heritage site.

The meeting came shortly after Dan Company’s announcement of the signing of a partnership with Hilton to operate Dan Company’s first three projects, which will comprise three resorts in the Al-Ahsa Governorate intended to attract visitors who are looking to connect with nature through lush greenery and stunning natural views.

The future of the GCC’s state-of-the-art passenger rail network

Dan Company hopes to establish a world-class tourism ecosystem that promotes sustainable, social, and economic growth while shedding light on Saudi Arabia’s rich agricultural and natural diversity, through agritourism, ecotourism, and adventure tourism. The company aims to help diversify Saudi Arabia’s economy and, in doing so, contribute to the country’s Vision 2030 goals, while enabling local communities to find new ways to thrive. By 2030, they are anticipated to contribute approximately $1.6 billion (SR6 billion) to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP as it expands its footprint.
