Riccardo Prosperi, a world-renowned artist better known by his stage name Simafra, is currently holding his first-ever solo exhibition in the UAE at the Park Hyatt Dubai. Celebrated for his thought-provoking artwork, dream landscapes, and use of rich colours, Simafra’s work has been shown in Paris, Berlin, Istanbul, Rome, London, and his native Florence, as well as on a number of film sets across the world.

The new exhibition, which began on 2 March 2024, is called HORTUS, from the Latin word meaning “the garden”. The works are all centered around the theme of a lush, intimate garden, where one can grow fruits and vegetables, with aspects that highlight life’s cyclical nature of birth and rebirth.

Visitors are encouraged to pause and reflect and explore a sense of self-awareness while perusing the works, inspiring them to pay more attention to the minute details that fluctuate with the different seasons found in nature.
