Lufthansa has provided an update on its US network for summer 2024, including new routes to Raleigh-Durham, Seattle and Minneapolis-St Paul.

The German flag carrier said it would offer a total of 27 US routes from a mixture of Frankfurt and Munich airports next summer, “decidedly more than before Corona”.

Earlier this week we reported that Lufthansa would add flights between Munich and Seattle-Tacoma International in 2024 (complementing existing flights between Frankfurt and Seattle), as well as a new route between Frankfurt and Minneapolis-St Paul.

And now the airline has confirmed plans to fly between Frankfurt and Raleigh-Durham for the first time next year, with a five-times-weekly service launching on 6 June, 2024.

Lufthansa said that “Numerous German companies have branches in the Raleigh-Durham area, and employees will now have an optimal connection to Germany and Lufthansa’s global network for the first time”.

As previously reported, the carrier has also announced plans to serve Boston, LA, New York JFK and Washington DC with its A380 aircraft next summer.
