Accor’s luxury Raffles brand has debuted in North America, with a property located in Boston’s Back Bay neighbourhood.

Raffles Boston is located in a 35-storey new-build hotel housing 147 guest rooms along with private residences, and resides next to The University Club and adjacent to Boston’s Back Bay train station.

The 17th floor is home to a three-storey Sky Lobby while a Grand Stair spirals through the atrium. This space is also occupied by four F&B venues which include restaurant Amar by Chef George Mendes, serving modern Portuguese cuisine with influences from Boston’s seafaring culture; the Long Bar & Terrace, a Paolo Ferrari-designed lounge offering cocktails with sweeping views of the South End; a speakeasy offering bespoke cocktails and small bites; and the Raffles Writer’s Lounge.

The fourth floor is home to a gym, 20-metre indoor pool with city views, and a Guerlain Spa.

The Architectural Team (TAT) Inc. designed the building’s exterior architecture, while design firm Stonehill Taylor were in charge of the hotel rooms and several amenity spaces, and Rockwell Group designed the fitness centre, spa and Raffles’ Residences.

Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles and Orient Express, commented:

“We are delighted to extend the legendary Raffles brand into the Americas with Raffles Boston, and are incredibly grateful to the dynamic ownership teams from Cain International, Noannet Group and Saunders Hotel Group for their trust in, and commitment to, the Raffles brand.”

“Raffles properties act as vessels for generations of world travelers to explore destinations through the highest level of hospitality and gracious service. Boston represents a historic and sophisticated cultural hub in the United States, and we could not imagine a more well-suited city to play host to the Raffles experience for years to come.”

Raffles Hotels, Resorts and Residences was founded in Singapore in 1887, and is a member of Accor, with properties in international locations including Paris, Istanbul, Dubai, Doha, Maldives, Udaipur, Phnom Penh and Bali – along with forthcoming debuts in Macau, Bahrain and the highly anticipated Raffles London at the OWO opening this month:
