Delta has opened its fifth Sky Club of 2023, located within the new Terminal A at New York’s Newark airport.
The new facility follows the carrier’s recent move from Terminal B to Terminal A at Newark.
The lounge has a capacity for more than 200 guests – 50 more than the previous Terminal B facility – and features a premium bar, a buffet food offering, four private all-gender restrooms, and design inspired by Newark’s history of industry, with “warm leather textures and metallic finishes”.
Delta also said that the Sky Club “features several acoustic systems designed to absorb the outside sounds of the airport so guests can enjoy a relaxing and social setting”.
The carrier will operate 29 peak-day departures from Newark to Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County, Minneapolis–Saint Paul, Raleigh-Durham and Salt Lake City airports this autumn.
The new lounge is the latest in a raft of new / renovated Sky Clubs in recent months, with other additions including:
- a new lounge on Boston Logan’s E Concourse
- a facility at New York JFK’s Terminal 4
- a new Sky Club at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International
- a new lounge at Kansas City International
Last year Delta also unveiled the largest Sky Club in its network, as part of the new Terminal C at New York’s LaGuardia airport.

The carrier said that the Newark Terminal A lounge was its fifth and final new location of the year. Delta had previously stated that it expected to open a total of eight new or expanded lounges in 2023 – the three that remain are all renovations or expansions, including:
- An expanded Club at Fort Lauderdale
- An expanded lounge at Miami International
- A renovated Sky Club at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson
