Delta has opened its latest Sky Club facility, located on the E Concourse of Boston Logan airport.
The lounge overlooks Boston Harbour and has seating for more than 400 guests, with the design inspired by the harbour including an oak motif as a nod to “the weathered wood of a ship”.
Facilities include five shower suites, six soundproof phone booths, a family room, and a premium bar featuring “a layered, champagne-toned mesh ceiling overhang and a dramatic backlit beverage display”. Buffet dining options include regional specialities such as New England clam chowder and Boston-based Necco candy wafers.
The lounge is located near gate E13 on the airport’s E Concourse, and is open daily from 1330 to 1045 (except Wednesday when it closes at 2215).
It joins Delta’s two existing Sky Clubs on Boston Logan’s A Concourse, and brings the carrier’s total lounge capacity at the airport to more than 1,000 guests.
The airline currently operates more than 150 peak-day departures to 57 destinations from Boston, including international flights to Rome, Tel Aviv, Lisbon, Edinburgh, Heathrow, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, Athens and Cancun.
Last month Delta unveiled a new Sky Club within New York JFK’s Terminal 4, with other recent lounge openings including Minneapolis-Saint Paul International and Kansas City International.
The carrier has previously said that it expects to open a total of eight new or expanded lounges, including:
- An expanded Club at Fort Lauderdale
- A relocated Sky Club at Newark airport (from Terminal B to Terminal A)
- An expanded lounge at Miami International
- A renovated Sky Club at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson
Commenting on the opening Claude Roussel, Managing Director – Delta Sky Club, said:
“While no two lounges are alike, the layout and Boston-inspired details in this Club make it feel truly one-of-a-kind.
“From the moment our guests enter the lounge, we want them to feel transported – not just by curated design, but by the care and hospitality they experience from our ambassadors.”
