The Peninsula has announced the soft opening date of September 12, 2023 for its much-anticipated London property.
Plans for the luxury hotel were first unveiled back in 2013, with the property having been built on the site of a former 1960s office block overlooking Hyde Park Corner.
We have written extensively about the 190-room (and 25 residence) The Peninsula London, and Hannah Brandler had a preview of the property earlier this year.
Highlights will include signature rooftop restaurant Brooklands, offering modern British cuisine from Michelin-starred chef director Claude Bosi, and ground-floor Cantonese restaurant, Canton Blue.
Leisure facilities will include a spa and wellness centre with 25-metre indoor swimming pool, and a ground-floor retail arcade with nine luxury boutiques including Asprey London, David M Robinson Jewellery and Watches and Moussaieff Diamond.
Peter Marino-designed guest rooms range from 51 to 59 sqm and feature a mahogany-panelled dressing room and bathrooms with bathtub and Toto toilet.
The hotel is currently promoting an opening offer from £1,300 for a stay including breakfast for two people, flexible check-in and check-out times, use of a house car (including The Peninsula’s signature Rolls-Royce sedans); and complimentary airport pick-up for all suite reservations.
