Myanmar Airways International (MAI) has launched two new routes from Myanmar to Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport, complementing its services to Suvarnabhumi airport.

The new routes are Yangon-Don Mueang and Mandalay-Don Mueang and both are served five times a week with dual-class Embraer E190 aircraft.

MAI is currently the only international carrier to serve both Bangkok airports with 40 weekly flights.

MAI is a full-service airline, offering complimentary food and beverage onboard, as well as 30kg of checked baggage.

In addition to an extensive domestic network, the airline also has flights from its Yangon hub to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Phuket, Hanoi, HCMC, Phnom Penh, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Guangzhou, Seoul and Dubai.

MAI currently operates a fleet of 10 aircraft across its domestic and international operations, including A319, A320 and E190 aircraft.

All MAI aircraft feature a dedicated business class cabin.

On the E190 aircraft deployed to Bangkok’s Don Mueang, the business cabin comprises just six seats across two rows in a 1-2 configuration, while the 92 economy seats are configured 2-2.
