Manufacturer Embraer has reached the milestone of 1,700 deliveries of its E-Jet family of aircraft.

The E195-E2 aircraft will fly for KLM Cityhopper, with the Dutch carrier leasing the plane from Aircastle.

The aircraft is configured with 132 seats across economy, economy comfort and business class , and is one of 60 Embraer E-Jets in KLM Cityhopper’s fleet.

Embraer’s first generation of E-Jets entered service in the early 2000s, followed by the second generation E2 jets in 2018, and to date around 150 airlines and leasing companies count the E-Jet family of aircraft in their fleets.

The largest operator is Republic Airways, which flies under the American Eagle, Delta Connection, and United Express. The aircraft is a favoured option for US regional routes, with Skywest, Mesa and Envoy Air all operating services on behalf of US carriers.

Other major airline customers include Jetblue, BA Cityflyer, Azul Brazilian Airlines, LOT Polish and Tianjin Airlines.
