Hospitality group Accor is set to add a new property to its Fairmont Hotels and Resorts portfolio in Dubai.

It has partnered with RSG Group of Companies to sign the Fairmont Dubai Skyline hotel which is set to open in 2024.

It will be the third Fairmont property in Dubai and the seventh in the UAE.

The Fairmont Dubai Skyline high-rise will feature 54 floors across the 226m-high structure. The property will include 181 hotel rooms and suites, alongside 121 residences comprising of two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. There will also be a full-floor penthouse located at the very top of the building.

Located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, the architecture of the Fairmont Dubai Skyline includes asymmetric balconies, which will be lit upon nightfall with a spiralling 4.5km of lighting to give the illusion of movement.

The living spaces and designer furnishings will be curated by several top-tier designers including Kristina Zanic Consultants. The views from the tower include the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai.

Through its distinct presence and unique architecture, the property will not only become an iconic Fairmont, but a landmark in Dubai.”

Details on the culinary offerings at the property haven’t been revealed, but Accor says that it will offer “culinary experiences and entertainment, spanning from the ground floor to the rooftop, where guests will be introduced to extraordinary experiences from morning until late night.”

Meanwhile, Abu Sabah, founder, owner and chairman of RSG Group of Companies said: “We are very excited to launch our first luxury hospitality project, Fairmont Dubai Skyline, in partnership with Accor and are committed to upholding the iconic legacy of the distinctive Fairmont brand into its second century.”

Accor currently operates 425 properties (over 93,008 keys) across India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey, with another 192 properties (over 41,230 keys) in the pipeline.

Recent high-profile openings in the region include the stunning Fairmont and Raffles hotel which is located in the Katara Towers in Doha, as well as the Fairmont Tazi Palace Tangier property in the northern region of Morocco.
