Accor has announced plans for its first Movenpick hotel in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.

The 253-room Movenpick Jakarta Pecenongan is set to open in the third quarter of 2023, within an existing 23-storey building in central Jakarta, close to the city’s the Merdeka Presidential Palace and National Monument.

Features will include a seventh floor executive lounge, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and fitness centre, and five restaurants and bars including all day dining and specialty options.

There will also be two ballrooms, a pre-function area, and a dedicated wedding chapel on the sixth floor.

Movenpick Jakarta Pecenongan is actually the second property signed by the brand in Jakarta, although the recently announced Movenpick Jakarta International Airport is not set to open until 2026.
