IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed its second property under its lifestyle Voco brand in the French capital.

Slated to open in summer 2023, the 264-key Voco Paris Porte de Clichy will be a conversion property located in the city’s 17th arrondissement.

The hotel will be designed by Oscar Lucien Ono, founder and director of interior design agency Maison Numéro 20, and will pay attention to the use of sustainable materials.

The property will include “several design-forward food and beverage outlets” as well as meeting spaces.

IHG already operates the 102-key Voco Paris Montparnasse, which opened in 2020, and has another property in Strasbourg.

IHG’s Voco brand adds first Paris property

Willemijn Geels, VP development Europe, IHG Hotels and Resorts, said:

“We are thrilled to be adding another voco property to our portfolio in France’s beautiful capital city; Voco Paris Porte de Clichy is going to be very special indeed with its eye-catching design.

“We are seeing fast paced growth with voco as it allows owners to quickly convert onto our expert systems, allowing them to benefit from our global scale and maximise their returns. This appealing proposition is bolstering our pipeline across Europe and driving significant growth.”

The Voco brand currently has 40 hotels in more than 25 countries, with 34 in the pipeline. Recent openings include Voco Venice Mestre – The Quid, Voco Auckland City Centre, and Voco The Bank Johannesburg Rosebank.

IHG says that it is on track to reach 200 Voco hotels by 2028, ten years since its launch. The group, as a whole, currently operates 64 hotels in France, with a further 18 properties in the pipeline.
