IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened its second Voco hotel in Italy, following the opening of Voco Milan-Fiere in 2021.

Voco Venice Mestre – The Quid has been opened in partnership with HNH Hospitality and is located in Italy’s Veneto region, close to the bypass that connects the suburb of Mestre to Venice Marco Polo airport and Venice-Mestre train station – both of which are 13km and 3.7km in distance respectively.

The hotel has 128 rooms with a contemporary design, while public spaces will feature “smokey blues, indoor greenery, natural wood” and the brand’s signature yellow colour scheme. Guests will have access to a fitness room with Technogym equipment as well as a Congress Centre with five meeting rooms accommodating 10 to 170 people.

Further facilities include a gaming area in the lobby, complete with a pool table, and the adjacent Ludico Drinks, Food and Play restaurant and bar which offers Italian and locally sourced dishes. There is also a terrace for alfresco drinks.

On the sustainability side, the hotel has several electric car charging points, LED lighting to reduce energy consumption, bedding made from 100 per cent recycled materials, and large bathroom amenities from plant-based skincare company Antipodes.

For those that want to reach Venice, the famous St Mark’s Square is 13km from the property.

General manager Giorgia Gasparini commented:

“Voco Venice Mestre – The Quid is a great example of how the voco brand has been brought to life and we are excited to be hosting our very first guests. The hotel offers guests the perfect place to work, relax and be themselves – whether that means having some me time in a tranquil and serene bedroom or spent socialising with friends, family and or colleagues in our great onsite bar.”

The Voco brand launched in 2018, and has 35 hotels open worldwide so far, with a further 36 hotels in the pipeline due to open in the next three to five years.
