Nobu Hospitality plans to make its debut in Vietnam with a hotel, restaurant and residences in the coastal city of Danang.

The resort will open in 2025 within a 43-storey tower along the My Khe beachfront.

It will feature 200 guest rooms, including 18 suites, meeting and event space, a rooftop bar and lounge, and a state-of-the-art wellness and fitness facility. There will also be 271 residential units, with one- to three-bedroom configurations, and two penthouse apartments.

The hotel and residences will be situated on top of the Danang City Centre podium, which will include high-end shops, an upscale Chinese restaurant, a Vietnamese fine-dining restaurant and an American steakhouse.

The hotel group has partnered with Viet Capital Real Estate (VCRE) and Phoenix Holdings to launch the property.

Trevor Horwell, CEO at Nobu Hospitality, commented:

We are excited to further expand into the Asia Pacific region and bring Nobu to the Vietnam market, a rapidly growing tourist destination, with one of the most beautiful and desirable locations in Danang. Our partners at VCRE are passionate supporters of the Nobu brand and share our commitment in growing Nobu Hospitality in other destinations in Vietnam. We are confident that the Nobu brand will attract visitors both locally and from around the world to stay and become residents of Nobu Danang which will be crafted as dynamic urban resort.”

The hotel group released a video to celebrate the news:

Nobu Hospitality was founded by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro and director Meir Teper, and currently comprises 13 open hotels in its portfolio.

Last year the group opened hotels in Chicago and Warsaw, and plans to add further properties in destinations including Santorini, Rome, Hamburg, Marrakech and Tel Aviv.
