Nobu Hospitality is set to reopen its Shoreditch hotel next month, featuring a new sixth floor with suites and a private rooftop terrace.

The hotel originally opened in 2017 and marked the first European hotel from the brand. It closed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On June 14 it will reopen with new Yuhi and Yuhi Skyline suites on the sixth floor, which include floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of East London. The Skyline suites also include step-out balconies. In total, the hotel will offer 164 rooms and suites when it reopens.

The accommodations feature design which blends “Shoreditch loft and Japanese Ryokan style”, with warm wood tones, brushed gold accents and custom-designed artwork on the ceiling and wallpaper by Shoreditch-based artist Richard Harding.

Additional amenities include a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower and Nature Bissé products, free wifi, traditional Japanese tea set and Nespresso coffee machine, a custom-designed minibar, a walk-in wardrobe, a 55-inch TV with Bluetooth, Apple TV and screen mirroring capabilities.

The penthouse level is also home to a new private event space designed by Studio Mica, who are also responsible for the hotel interiors. The space can be accessed via a private lift and is filled with vintage furniture and bespoke pieces including an original Lee Broom ‘hanging chair’ and a commissioned circular rug.

The space also includes a large outdoor terrace with 180-degree views of the East London skyline. The private event space can accommodate up to 50 guests, and there’s the option to book the Yuhi bedrooms for exclusive use of the entire floor.

The hotel will also feature its signature Nobu restaurant, Nami bar and terrace, and a spa and fitness centre.
