British Airways has confirmed a further extension of elite status benefits for some Executive Club members, as well as an extended period to take advantage of reduced tier point thresholds.

Members with tier point collection end dates between April 1 and June 30, 2022 will see their status extended by a further 12 months.

This follows a similar move in September this year, where elite status was extended for members with tier point collection end dates between January and March 2022.

In addition BA has extended its reduced tier point threshold requirements to members with tier point collection dates up to December 30, 2022 (previously June 2022).

It means that eligible members will benefit from a 25 per cent reduction in the number of tier points needed to reach or retain status, as follows:

  • Bronze status – 225 tier points
  • Silver status – 450 tier points
  • Gold status – 1,125 tier points

At present there has been no further extension to the validity of companion or Gold upgrade vouchers.
