Premier Inn has added a new vegan sausage option to its breakfast menu, to coincide with November’s World Vegan Month.
The Garden Gourmet sausage is now available at all Premier Inn properties and their associated Whitbread outlets (Beefeater, Brewers Fayre, Bar and Block, Cookhouse and Pub, Table Table, Whitbread Inns and Premier Inn restaurants).
It means that guests can now opt for a vegan cooked breakfast menu including the Garden Gourmet Cumberland sausage, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, baked beans and mushrooms, or a continental selection including breads, bagels, crumpets, fruits and cereals.
The vegan sausage is part of a newly launched vegan range at the group’s restaurants, which also includes the Garden Gourmet Sensational Burger.
Commenting on the news Simon Jones, Premier Inn managing director, said:
“Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, and we are delighted to now offer guests even more choice so they can rest easy knowing there’s a tasty option available for them.
“Our new vegan sausages are a much requested, exciting addition to the Premier Inn breakfast menu and hope that they will appeal not only to our vegan diners, but those looking to reduce their meat intake.”
Whitbread recently said that its its Premier Inn brand was recovering ahead of expectations, as it published its interim results for the six months to August 26, 2021.
