Premier Inn has opened its first hotel in Dublin city centre, with four others set to follow from late 2022.

Premier Inn Dublin City Centre is located in a renovated Victorian terrace building on South Great George Street. It is close to attractions such as Temple Bar and Dublin Castle, and next door to the George’s Street Arcade shopping centre.

The hotel features 97 rooms with Hypnos beds, a power shower, free wifi, tea and coffee, and a Freeview TV. The site also includes a restaurant and bar serving breakfast and dinner.

Simon Ewins, Managing Director of Premier Inn, commented on the opening:

“We are thrilled to open our first hotel in Dublin city centre, right in the heart of this amazing city. Dublin is known for being one of the world’s most captivating, lively and historic cities, so we couldn’t be more delighted to open our doors here and we see a very bright future for Premier Inn in the city.

“The new hotel offers guests an affordable way to explore Dublin, with key sites and landmarks right on the doorstep. The opening is an important moment for us as we grow Premier Inn in Dublin, and with the ability to travel starting to open up more widely, we are looking forward to welcoming guests and wowing them with our great value and high standards.”

The budget chain currently operates a hotel in the Airside Retail Park to the north of Dublin airport

Premier Inn will also open new hotels in the city’s Gloucester Street, Newmarket, Castleforbes and Jervis Street from late 2022.
