Radisson Hotel Group has opened a new hotel in the Chinese city of Wuxi, marking its fifth Radisson Collection property in the country.

Radisson Collection Hotel Wuxi is located in the city’s Xishan district, a 20-minute drive from Sunan Shuofang International airport and 15 minutes from Wuxi Railway Station. The waterfront city of Wuxi sits on the banks of Lake Taihu and combines waterfront walkways and temples with skyscrapers and high-tech business parks.

The hotel features 318 rooms and suites, ranging from 40 sqm to 258 sqm, all of which include working areas, Nespresso coffee machines, and fast wifi. An executive lounge on the 27th floor, overlooking the skyline, also provides exclusive services and amenities.

The new property will be the first to debut the brand’s new wellness concept, The Spa at Radisson Collection, which is focused on the three areas of mood, mind and interaction. The spa includes massage and yoga spaces, a sauna and an indoor swimming pool.

The Radisson Collection features five restaurants and bars which include the all-day dining destination Maillard 69, the first 3D immersive restaurant in the city; Chinese restaurant Lang Tin Ge, which specialises in Huai Yang cuisine; contemporary Japanese restaurant Ji Bai Qiu; and whisky bar Elaresanse.

It also boasts 2,400 sqm of flexible event space, including an 800-guest ballroom.

Gary Ye, Vice President, Operations, China, Radisson Hotel Group, commented:

“I am delighted to unveil Radisson Collection Hotel, Wuxi, as we continue to expand this exceptional collection across China. Following recent openings in Shanghai and Nanjing, this chic hotel represents another major milestone in our development. China is now home to five Radisson Collection hotels, more than any other country, which shows how Chinese owners and guests have embraced this flexible, locally-influenced concept.”

This marks Radisson’s second property in the city, following the Radisson Blu Resort Wetland Park Wuxi. The country is also home to four other Radisson Collection properties in Shanghai and Nanjing.

The Radisson Collection was launched in 2018, and has recently added properties in locations including Milan, Seville, Aspat Bay to the south of Turkey’s Bodrum peninsula, northern Italian ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
