Virgin Atlantic has announced plans to resume transatlantic flights to Orlando, Las Vegas and New York on November 8, coinciding with the reopening of US borders to fully vaccinated UK travellers.

The carrier has confirmed that its flights from London Heathrow to Orlando and Las Vegas will restart from November 8, with flights from Manchester to Orlando and New York resuming on the same day.

Services to Orlando will be operated daily from both Heathrow and Manchester airports owing to a surge in customer demand – the route is currently the most booked across the carrier’s portfolio. The airline will also deploy the A350 from November 8-14 on the Heathrow-Orlando route to meet increased demand.

Flights from Heathrow to Las Vegas will be operated daily on the airline’s B787-900, while daily services from Manchester to New York will be operated by the A330.

Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, commented;

“Our customers are ready to begin their US adventures, whether it’s to enjoy the magic of Orlando or to party the night away in Las Vegas, therefore it’s only right that we offer them the opportunity to fly as soon as we can.  I’m delighted that our  Orlando and Las Vegas services will begin on 8 November, the same day transatlantic travel reopens. We can’t wait to transport customers to our favourite destinations in the US safely once more.”

Earlier this month the carrier resumed flights from Heathrow to San Francisco.
