Radisson Hotel Group has signed its first property under the Radisson Individuals brand in Serbia, with a hotel in Belgrade.

Belgrade Art Hotel, a member of the Radisson Individuals, is located in the city’s Old Town and is the only hotel on the pedestrianised Knez Mihailova street, situated steps away from landmarks such as the Belgrade Fortress.

Owned by the Serbian Todorovic family, who are well-known in the fashion industry, interiors have been designed to reflect the country’s architecture and Belgrade’s “growing status as a trendy, artistic city”, with paintings by local artists on display.

The hotel features 55 rooms and suites, a wellness centre with a sauna, and on-site parking. The ground-floor Restaurant Mosaic offers Mediterranean and local fine dining cuisine, while a bar serves coffee and original Belgium waffles.

The property’s conference centre includes two rooms on the first and ninth floor, both of which feature natural light and air-con. The top floor space can accommodate up to 90 guests and includes a terrace overlooking the old city.

Yilmaz Yildirimlar, Area Senior Vice President, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey at Radisson Hotel Group, said:

“We are very excited to announce our Group’s second hotel in Belgrade, a city of contrasts and culture, which makes this destination a must-see and place to stay. We created Radisson Individuals in response to the evolving demands of the new market realities for both hotel owners and guests, and it is the perfect addition to our exceptional umbrella of brands to expand our footprint in the South-East Europe market. The new brand offers guests an opportunity to discover this vibrant and historic city while experiencing our high standards of Yes I Can! service and hospitality”.

Radisson already operates a hotel under its Radisson Collection brand in the city.

Vladimir Todorovic, General Manager, added:

“Joining Radisson Hotel Group as a member of Radisson Individuals represents a big step forward for Belgrade Art Hotel, after 11 years of operating as a fully independent family-run hotel. We believe this affiliation will be a recipe for future success, by incorporating standards and practices of a world-renowned hotel chain into our Belgrade property”.

Radisson Individuals launched last year as a conversion brand aimed at encouraging independent hotels and local, regional chains to join the group’s platform. The brand recently debuted in the Baltics with the opening of the Palace Hotel Tallinn.

The first hotel to join the brand was Henrietta House in Bath, and it was recently reported that Earl Heights Suites Hotel in Ghana has also been signed to the collection. The brand also debuted in the Americas last month with the reflagging of the Tryp by Wyndham Sebastian Hotel.
