Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will launch services to Chisinau, Moldova, from September 4.

With the launch of two weekly flights to the Moldavian capital, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will serve 25 destinations.

Services will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays and tickets are already on sale on  and the airline’s mobile app (also available in Arabic), with fares starting from AED 179.

The connection between Abu Dhabi and the city of Chisinau is further expanding the travel opportunities for UAE residents who would like to visit friends and relatives, travel for business or discover new places.

Chisinau is the capital city and the major industrial centre of Moldova, situated along the Bâcu (Byk) River in the south-central part of the country. It offers a rich culture, exquisite architecture, beautiful landscapes and unique cuisine.

With the UAE’s recent update of the green list countries, passengers travelling from Moldova do not need to quarantine on arrival in the UAE capital. Passengers will need to take a PCR test on arrival into the UAE, on the sixth day after arriving, and on day 12 for those staying for 12 days or more. Children 12 years of age and younger are exempt, unless they show symptoms of Coronavirus.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s fleet comprises four new state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft, offering the lowest fuel burn, emissions, and noise footprint.
