Mumbai airport has set up a dedicated zone for Covid-19 test of passengers from four Indian states — Delhi, Goa, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

This is in line with Maharashtra government’s latest travel directive as per which passengers arriving at Mumbai airport from the aforementioned states are required to provide proof of a negative RT-PCR test prior to boarding their flight or undertake the test upon arrival at Mumbai.

Passengers will be directed to the test zone located near the baggage carousel to undertake the test before exiting the airport.

Since the implementation of the new directive on November 25, 2020, Mumbai airport has tested over 200 passengers who have arrived from these earmarked regions, out of which none have tested positive for Covid-19.

The new travel protocol is also applicable for travellers coming by train into Mumbai from Delhi, Goa, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
