Mumbai airport is offering an upgraded experience for all arriving passengers availing Covid-19 testing facility.

Passengers  undergoing the RT-PCR test will receive food and drink and free wifi services while waiting for their test results which can take approximately eight hours.

As a part of the new service, travellers have an exclusive space to wait and can enjoy food  and drink from a speciall menu.

The  offering costs ₹3,900 per person.

“With test facilities now available at both departures and arrivals at the airport, passengers can easily transit to and from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) with comfort. Furthermore, the airport diligently abides by the preventive protocols indicated by the Government of India and implements the SOPs to safeguard the overall wellbeing of its passengers. CSMIA is taking all efforts to provide a safe and seamless journey to its passengers, during this uncertain time,” reads an official release.

Until now, the airport has seen over 8,000 passengers availing the RT-PCR test upon arrival. Out of these, approximately 100 passengers have tested positive for the virus and were transferred by the state authorities to Covid institutions.
