Indigo has announced daily direct flights connecting IT hub Pune with Chandigarh (capital of the two neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana) and Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
The Interglobe Aviation led-airline will commence operations on Pune-Chandigarh sector from March 15, 2020, whereas flights on Indore-Pune route will be functional from May 1, 2020.

Commenting on the network expansion, William Boulter, chief commercial officer, Indigo said, “Pune, also known as the Detroit of India, is the hub for automobile industry and direct connections to Chandigarh and Indore will promote trade and commerce between the cities.
“These flights will cater to the demand for daily direct connections on these routes, while making travel hassle-free for both business and leisure travellers.”
