Hyatt has opened a 234-room Dublin hotel under its lifestyle brand Centric.

Located in The Liberties neighbourhood, it is the first Hyatt-branded property in the Irish capital.

The room count includes nine suites, one overlooking St Patrick’s Cathedral and another with views of the Dublin Mountains.

There are two dining options; Liberties Gate Restaurant, serving “locally inspired cuisines”, and Liberties Gate Bar, which will serve a selection of whiskey from local distilleries as well as an all-day menu of sandwiches, soups, stews and salads.

The hotel also offers 371 sqm of meeting and events space, and a 24-hour gym.

Hyatt said artefacts that were discovered on the property’s site during construction, some of which are 900 years old, will be on display.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin, representing a milestone for Hyatt in Europe,” said Declan Curtis, general manager of the hotel.

Hyatt describes Centric as an “upper upscale” brand of lifestyle hotels.

The group recently launched another lifestyle brand called Caption.
