Hyatt has opened the first property under its lifestyle brand Hyatt Centric in Silicon Valley.
The 167-room Hyatt Centric Mountain View is situated within The Village at San Antonio Center, a mixed use retail, residential and park development at the intersection of El Camino Real and San Antonio Road.
Features include the hotel’s restaurant and bar, Fairchild’s Public House, as well as fitness and business centres, and a second floor terrace with bar, heated pool, firepit and “life-size games”.

For meetings there is around 900sqm of space including the Cloud Ballroom, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls which slide open onto alfresco seating.
Design pays homage “to the area’s history as the birthplace of modern technology”, with a lobby installation made up of hundreds of mini pocket compasses, and a bar featuring wall art composed of classic Atari games, while rooms feature artwork created with computer components.
Mountain View is home to the corporate headquarters of a number of major tech firms, including Google, Mozilla, Symantec and Intuit. The city is located around 12 miles west of San Jose International airport, which has offered nonstop flights to London with British Airways since 2016.

Hyatt Centric launched in 2015, and is described by the group as “a brand of full-service lifestyle hotels located in prime destinations”.
There are currently just under 30 Hyatt Centric properties in operation across 28 cities in country’s including the US, Chile, France, Spain, India and Japan
