Oyo Hotels and Homes says it now has over 100 properties across more than 60 cities in the US, with the group currently adding at least one property per day in the country.

The group has quadrupled its presence in the US since June, and recently announced plans to rebrand the 657-room Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, following the purchase of the property for $135 million.

Oyo has committed $300 million in initial investment in the US, with hotels now open in cities including Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta and Miami.

Commenting on the news Oyo’s founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal said:

“We are excited with our rapid growth and early success in the US, our newest home-market. The US is a key home-market of us given the huge potential.

“While we continue to transform buildings across the country, we want to stay true to our philosophy that everyone, every day should be #LivingTheGoodLife. We do this by offering good quality ‘value-chic’ accommodations, with great ratings at unique price points.”

In August Oyo passed the 100-property milestone in the UK, having launched in the country less than a year previously.

This summer the rapidly growing group said it had passed Intercontinental Hotels Group as the world’s third largest hotel chain in terms of room count.
